The parameter files required by the three programs mcSim, mdSim and ddSim use a similar syntax, but contain somewhat different contents. The following three sections discuss elements of the parameter file syntax that are common to all three types of simulation, the parameter file formats for mcSim and mdSim (which are very similar), and the parameter file format for ddSim simulations.
